This Privacy Policy explains how Florafix ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Florafix website at florafix.app and the Florafix mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who we are
Florafix is a marketplace that connects clients with independent gardeners for on-demand gardening services and sells related shop items. If you have any privacy questions, contact us at support@florafix.app.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. Name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a one-way hash).
- Profile photo. If you upload one, the image is stored on our servers and shown next to your reservations and reviews.
- Region selection. The country and region you pick during the booking flow. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Reservation data. The service you booked, gardener, date, time, and any optional notes you wrote for the gardener.
- Reviews. Ratings and comments you leave for gardeners after a finished reservation.
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications in the mobile app, we store the device token issued by Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can deliver booking-related alerts.
- Contact messages. Anything you submit through the contact form.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and abuse prevention.
3. How we use your information
- To create and operate your account and authenticate you across sessions.
- To match you with gardeners that serve your selected region.
- To send transactional notifications about reservations (created, updated, cancelled, finished) by email and push.
- To let assigned gardeners contact you about your booking.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
- To respond to your contact messages.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising or behavioural profiling.
4. Sharing
We share information only with:
- The gardener assigned to your booking, who sees your name, phone number, the reserved address-level region you picked, the time, and any notes you wrote.
- Service providers we rely on to run Florafix, namely our email delivery provider (transactional emails), Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging (push delivery), and our hosting provider. These providers process data only on our instructions.
- Authorities, when required by valid legal process.
5. Your rights
You can at any time:
- View and edit your profile from the Profile screen in the app or the Profile page on the website.
- Cancel a future reservation from the My Bookings screen.
- Disable push notifications in your device's system settings.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@florafix.app. Some data (e.g. completed reservation records used for accounting) may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
6. Data retention
Active accounts and their associated reservations are kept for as long as your account is active. Cancelled or finished reservations are kept for accounting and dispute resolution. Server access logs are kept for up to 90 days unless required for a longer period for security investigation.
7. Security
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — we never store them in plain text. Communication between the mobile app and our servers uses HTTPS. We restrict administrative access to the small team that operates Florafix. No internet-based service is fully immune from risk; if you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
8. Children
Florafix is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone in that age range. If you believe a child has registered an account, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International transfers
Our servers may be located outside the country where you live. Where personal data is transferred across borders we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the standard contractual clauses where applicable.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If we make a material change we will notify you in the app or by email.
